Who are the Boosters?
All baseball parents collectively form the baseball boosters. If you have a son playing baseball, you are automatically a member of the boosters. We hope all parents can take an active role that fits you and your schedule. There are many opportunities available! Being involved in the boosters is a great way to meet other parents and support the boys too!
Additionally, because we are set up as a 501(c)(3). In order to function a board of directors is required. As per tradition, the parents of seniors will step back from leadership roles while remaining available to help guide and assist the new officers.
The board of directors/officers includes:
Board President: creates the agenda and leads the virtual booster meetings, provides a primary point of contact between the boosters and the coaches, and helps guide the progress of planning throughout the year.
Board Vice President: supports the President in planning and running booster activities, steps in to lead meetings in the President’s absence, and coordinates key projects or committees to ensure plans move forward on schedule.
Board Treasurer: manages the bank account, tracks income and expenses, creates and modifies the budget.
Board Secretary: schedules and takes the minutes at the virtual meetings, contributes to decisions and tasks throughout the year, and sends the informational emails.
What do the Boosters do?
The baseball boosters organize activities to give our players and fans a great baseball experience. These activities are as broad as fundraising or donating for expenses that the school does not budget for (equipment, assistant coaches, uniforms, etc.), and making the boys feel part of a warm and cohesive team by providing apparel, taking team and game photos, creating the season program, and supporting team events such as team dinners, senior day, and the end of season banquet. See our Beyond the Field page for a comprehensive listing of booster activities.
How are the Booster activities financed?
The boys participate in the Spring Yard Clean-Up fundraising event in early April and help coach the baseball clinics with Little League in March. Parents help with the fundraising activities, and they can provide direct donations as well. The Cape Elizabeth Baseball Boosters are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and donations are tax deductible. Purchasing some awesome Cape Baseball swag from our online SquadLocker store also sends a portion of every sale to the boosters, as well as being a great source of team support for our fans to wear throughout the season! Orders are shipped directly to you. The 2026 link to the SquadLocker store will be provided via email in the future.
Is there a Booster fee for baseball families?
Yes, similar to other high school sports programs, we also ask families to pay a baseball booster fee (different from the school's annual athletic fee). The booster fee for 2026 is consistent with previous years: $180.
The booster fee can be paid through this Givebutter link: https://givebutter.com/CapeBaseballPlayerDues. There is a required fee for credit card use, but you can adjust the Givebutter tip to 0%.
You can also send a check made out to Cape Elizabeth Baseball Boosters to Kevin Justh at 9 Spruce Lane, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107.
Any donations to the baseball boosters can be made through the same Givebutter link or by check as well!
Does the Cape baseball Boosters club meet?
Yes, the Cape Boosters Club meets virtually via Microsoft Teams and the meeting is a great source of information and communication. Reminders and links to join the meetings will be sent out prior to each meetiing. If you are not receiving these notifications please email ce.baseballboosters@gmail.com to make sure you are added to the distribution list.
How can I get involved?
It takes a village. We can use help for every initiative that we are involved in. See our Beyond the Field page for a comprehensive listing. You can attend our regular meetings to sign up for roles and/or email ce.baseballboosters@gmail.com.
What if I've been involved?
A huge thank you to the parents who have already stepped up and volunteered for our booster projects — we couldn’t do this without you!
